I Just Signed a Management Agreement, What's Next?

Updated: Jun 26, 2020

First off, we would like to welcome you to Uptown Properties! Congratulations on taking that first step to a smooth rental.

After signing that contract, there are just a few more things to get you up to speed. One is to fill out an Owner Intake Form. This form will provide us all the information we need in order to onboard and market your rental property. This is very important to move on to the next step.

Your owner portal will also be activated. Kindly send us a voided check, this will be for your monthly owner disbursement.

If your rental is occupied, we will need your tenant’s information and contact details, their current rental agreement, rent increase notice, and any useful documents along w/ the tenant’s security deposit.

On the other hand, if your rental is vacant, we need to verify if there is anything that needs to be done in order for the property to be rent ready. Maintenance and cleaning will be done at this time.

A rental analysis will be conducted based on the market and time of vacancy. This will then be discussed with you together with the marketing description of your property.

Once we have professional photos, we can now start with marketing. We will post your rental property to our website as well as more than a dozen other websites. The leasing team will take it from here.

You will be provided weekly updates and thorough screening of the applicants will be done to ensure you only get quality tenants. This includes a credit check, criminal history report, income, and employment verification, and rental reference check.

When your property is leased up, you may now sit back and let us take care of your home for you!
